Military forces and their corresponding Industrial Complex are negatively impacted when petrodollars flow overseas to our adversaries who then partially siphon them off to pay for terrorism and war. Refer to a historical account on how ISIS funded their military agenda using oil funds.

America must sustain sufficient supplies of oil which resulted in the creation of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve "to reduce the impact of disruptions in supplies of petroleum products and to carry out obligations of the United States under the international energy program".   In addition, conserving and replacing oil for nonmilitary/civilian usage will be essential to prevent the chaos that developed during the 1973-74 Oil Embargo.

Two examples of oil and war:

#1 Russia started a war by invading Ukraine for the second time causing human and economic devastation not seen since World War II. Europe is struggling to eliminate Russian-supplied oil and natural gas so that they do not pay for both sides of the conflict. This is a warning that America, Europe, and other countries must avoid the dilemma of funding its own military and also partially paying for their adversaries via petrodollars and energy expenditures.

#2 There has been ongoing warfare since March 2016 between Saudi Arabia and Yemen. Iran, a designated State Sponsor of Terrorism, provides the most military support to Yemen than any other country. Substantial oil income supports both sides of this conflict, that is Saudi Arabia vs. Yemen/Iran.

America needs to achieve Oil Independence for security purposes.

Reducing oil production by the military agencies, their personnel and families, and supporting industries will be most important. This should improve morale because our troops and civilians will be on the same page in not funding our adversaries via our petrodollars.

For example, the set of artigraphs can become part of structured programs at every military station which has a minimum of 100 personnel, including the military academies, and all supporting industries. The convenient Snapshot Survey and Grades of Your Oil Consumption would be used so that all participants will obtain immediate feedback of their performance over time.  However, one exception where the artigraphs should be displayed and explained is small locations concern the community-based recruitment centers.  The point of inquiry by recruits and their families is an excellent opportunity to discuss supporting the military via oil reduction efforts.

The Technology field consumes tremendous amounts of energy with their huge requirements to manufacture and operate their computer and chip manufacturing systems. Many technology companies are intertwined with America’s military as well as civilian usage. Sustainability programs for driving fuel efficient cars and taking mass transit are necessary steps. The artigraphs will support such efforts and improve performance.

How responsible is America for local and global oil consumption which partially funds terrorism and war?

America consumes approximately 20% of the world’s oil, the most of any nation, yet only constitutes 4% of the world’s population. Therefore, America has a greater responsibility to its reduce oil consumption due to its huge share in using this resource.
